McGowan’s Government to Reinstate Seniors’ Security Rebate
The re-elected Labor Government of Premier McGowan expressed its commitment to reinstate the Senior’s Safety and Security Rebate. The initiative aims to assist seniors in purchasing security and safety equipment to protect themselves and their homes better. The highly popular incentive was discontinued in 2015 but will now be back to provide rebates of up to $400 for seniors’ purchases of safety and security devices. These devices can include intruder alarms, deadlocks, security screens, sensor lights, fire alarms, and the like.
Program Highlights
- $16 Million Committed to Reinstate Seniors Safety and Security Rebate
- Rebates of up to $400 for the Purchase of Home Security and Safety Equipment
- $4 Million to Establish a State-Wide Elder Abuse Advocacy Service
It’s Best to be Prepared
While there is still no official confirmation of whether the rebate will cover personal medical alarms, it’s still a great opportunity for seniors to upgrade their home security. Given the nature of personal alarms and medical alarms, there’s a good probability that McGowan’s program will cover them.

Each SureSafe personal alarm device integrated into our SureSafe 24/7 Connect system provides full monitoring so that you have complete peace of mind. It ensures you or your loved one will always have access to emergency response services, no matter where you go and what time of day it is. Our 24/7 coverage guarantees that you can always get the help you need when you need it most.
Fall Detection Alarms
The reality is that when you fall or suddenly feel unwell, you are not always able to push the button on your pendant to call for help. It’s also common for people to lose consciousness when they fall or lose mobility, so having an automatic alert system is a precious feature. When our fall detectors detect a fall, they will automatically raise an alert to your emergency contacts. This extra safety and peace of mind are priceless – giving you the confidence and freedom to live normally or do your work wherever you go.
